Pondering Phant #D sketchbook page 5, detail of pencil sketch
A picture currently planned for the back cover of The Phanteland Phile, where it skews the upbeat ending towards a more reflective mood. In the story, the phants have reasons to ponder the wisdom of the humans attempting to help them. On more than one occasion, ingenious but reckless plans come to nought. Thus the Phant sits, with gently tapping foot and questioning gaze--awaiting a sensible answer.
