- Computer lab directions for the "Discovering Art" CD-ROM
- Bring your student ID and, if you have it, bring along the CD-ROM from your textbook.
- If you do not have your own CD-ROM, wait for the instructor to set up your computer.
- If you do have the CD, you can get started on your own:
- Open CD/DVD drive (press top-right key on keyboard, or button on drive door).
- Insert CD in drive, close drive.
- Double-click startup drive icon (the one labeled ACG-some number-X). Double-click Discovering Art folder icon. Double-click Discovering Art program icon.
- When the Welcome screen appears, click on the "Established Member" tab, then click on the ticket icon.
- In the "Open Saved Work" list, double-click the drive icon ACG-some number-X. Double-click Discovering Art folder icon. Double-click UsersProgress folder icon. Find the file with your name and double-click on it. If you can't find your file, click Cancel, then click the "New Visitor" tab, then fill in your information.
- Enter your password, and proceed to the assigned activity.
- For video demonstrations, adjust the volume so as not to interfere with the work of others in the lab. Better yet, bring headphones.
- The volume control can be accessed thru the loudspeaker icon in the menu bar (top-right corner of the screen). Some keyboards have volume controls with similar icons.
